Terms and fees

Terms of business

My terms of business can be viewed here. As an intermediate member of The Society for Editors and Proofreaders, I abide by their editorial code of practice, and my terms of business are tailored with this in mind. Prior to starting a job, I ask all clients to sign these terms—this ensures that we’re both happy with the scope and nature of the project!

Fees

All projects are different in terms of the complexity of the subject matter and how much work is needed. Similarly, there are various types and levels of editing that may be needed for a written text. This is why I ask for a sample before providing a quote.

I base my fees on the suggested minimum rates set out by The Society for Editors and Proofreaders. I charge per 1,000 words or a flat fee depending on the project, however I’m also happy to work for a set hourly rate if that suits you.
