The little mugs, the cats in jumpers and hats, the coffee machine... I love it! Cake Off at the Cat Café has been turned in to my Cake Off at the Cat Café has been turned in to my editor! 🎉 And because I've missed drafting so very much and it was a horribly rainy day, I wrote almost 3,000 words of something new that has been stewing in my brain since March. I have no idea if this particular book will end up published and in your hands, but I really love it already and I'm having so much fun causing trouble for my two love interests (heh). Lighting a new candle is one of my favourite parts of writing something fresh, and this one that I received for my birthday is just perfect and gives me all the cosy, autumnal vibes I need! 🍁🍂 #amwriting #authorlife #authorsofig

In the overall UK Kindle store, it's also ranked in the top 200s – out of thousands of books! It’s *super* close to breaking into the top 100 ebooks, which is just amazing to see. I had the absolute best day yesterday, celebrating I had the absolute best day yesterday, celebrating the publication of Snowed In at the Cat Café with my husband and family. 🥹❤️ I was showered with so many gifts, cards, love, and an amazing cake based on my cat Haru! I am preparing a little video of the day. 🐈‍⬛ The happiness I felt is so hard to describe – I was giddy, like all the joy was bursting to get out! I struggled for such a long time to get a traditional book deal, going through many manuscripts and lots of years of rejection (seven years in fact) and feeling like my dream of being a traditionally published author would never come true. But yesterday, all those years of work and struggle felt so, so worth it. And it's even more special because I wrote this book when I was so sad and heartbroken about the loss of my cat Lily, and I just poured all my love for our pets into this story. And Catpurrcino was a little place of joy for me to go to after I lost her.
